I was so happy that neighbors with Australian ties had their flag out...so perfect for the photography word of the day (Australia Day). I failed totally in the settings category and overexposed all of my shots. Time to get out the photography books and DVDs. ☺
Three Good Things:

2. Saying "G'day, mate" with a fake Aussie accent
3. Kangaroos
No need to explain. I think your clever processing compensated for the overexposure or whatever. So well composed -- great tones and shadows and glad you left the color in the flag. To me this is a huge fav!
LOVE! We've got many good friends in Australia, too. It's fun to see that the flag was opened out for this special occasion , and your "saying "g'day" and "Kangaroos" is too too awesome :)
