Spreading a Little Warmth by peggysirk

Spreading a Little Warmth

I saw a wonderful photo on HONY - Humans of New York - of a scarf wrapped around a light pole with a sticker saying it was available to anyone who might be cold. I loved that idea and thought it would be a great way to dispense with my lovely collection of 'novice knitter' scarves. ☺ The temperatures are reaching single digit record lows this week...a perfect time to spread a little warmth.

Three Good Things:
1. We got enough snow and ice for Harper and Will to have a fun morning sledding in their backyard with mom and dad.
2. Shrove Tuesday pancakes for supper tonight!
3. Heading out in a few minutes to distribute scarves. Maybe I'll post a photo of some of the scarf locations tomorrow.
You're a truly good person, Peggy. The world is better because you are in it. This gesture brings tears to my eyes.

What a lovely idea and great photo. Glad the snow and ice has gone from here, but still scarf weather.

@lisabell Thank you, Lisa! What a sweet thing to say!!! I got teary eyed when I saw the image of the scarf on HONY. Such an easy, but powerful thing to do.

@bpaquette Awww, thank you, Barbara. It was too easy to copy the idea of someone else to take credit for anything special. But your comment has made my week. ☺

@happypat Pat, I actually got to talk with a very sweet man that took one of the scarves. He made the whole icy walk to place them so worth it!
