I'm reduced to using a poor photo of one of the alleys in the neighborhood...my short cut to yoga class.
Three Good Things:
1. Making cookies for beach week
2. Avoiding death or serious bodily harm when walking across South Blvd and a turning car failed to yield and nearly smushed me.
3. The driver was so upset, he stopped in the intersection apologizing profusely as I was trying to get my popped out eyes back in my head. ☺
I don't think it's a poor photo at all. I like the shadows and lighting you caught. Whew!! Glad you're OK. I had a close call like that about 3 years ago on a lightly traveled road. The car was going too fast and I was a bit careless. Just missed me by inches. I am super extra careful now.
@cimes1 You were lucky, Carole! We live in a very high pedestrian area with lots of walkers and runners crossing busy intersections routinely at all hours of the day and night. Pedestrian crosswalks are clearly marked and Yield to Pedestrians signs posted. Pedestrians, for the most part, are very intersection savvy and cross when the WALK sign is flashing, This driver was obviously distracted and was very remorseful...but it was a very close call and could have been a vacation spoiler. ☺
