Bathtime for Heathcliff by peggysirk

Bathtime for Heathcliff

Not only did I meet Heath, my friend Nancy's new horse, I had the first time experience of giving a horse a bath. He is such a sweet guy...he didn't seem to mind at all that a stranger (and a novice) was scrubbing him down. I think the fact that I had a pocketful of carrots worked in my favor.

Three Good Things:
1. A gorgeous late October day in the country
2. A beautiful horse farm
3. A great day with a good friend
he looks a lovely horse. Lucky you. I hope he stood still for you

@cruiser He was a sweetheart, Chris. I think he enjoyed the grooming attention. And I know he was loving the carrots. 🙂

I bet this was a different experience Peggy......I have never had anything to do with horses only cows! Soulnds like you enjoyed your time there, perhaps learn to ride next?

@happypat It was a fun day, Pat. I love to ride. Nothing fancy...no dressage, jumping, or barrel racing...just for fun pasture and trail riding. I might have to put 'horse' on my Christmas list. 🙂

Looks calm and friendly. ....I must admit I have never thought of a horse and a bath in the same sentence before!

Beautiful horse and such a handsome name! A horse can be much like a big friendly dog, so your concern for him...not to mention those carrots...was the start of a new friendship!
