An afterthought phone photo as I was leaving church this morning. I was walking through the side garden and thought I might need something to post for today. St. Peter's Episcopal Church is a charming structure built in 1834 and now nestled in the heart of uptown Charlotte. I'll try to do better by it with a decent photo at some point. :)
Three Good Things:
1. The humility of an Ash Wednesday service
2. The scent of my tea olive shrubs in bloom
3. Parking validation
everything is so green where you live! i saw on the news yesterday how some people are able to get 'drive-thru' service for Ash Wednesday now because they do not have time for the entire service. interesting. wonderful photo.
@catsmeowb I'd say that we're having an early spring, but we never really had much of a winter this year. It's been remarkably mild and green. :) St. Peter's doesn't have a 'drive-through' service per se, but they did have two "Ashes on the Sidewalk" mini-services for folks at lunch hour and after work for anyone who couldn't make it for the regular services. Perfect for uptown workers.
