Bob and Valerie are the amazing chefs who pull together incredible meals from the generous donations of food from local retailers and farmers/farmers markets.
Three Good Things:
1. 160 guests who had a chance to get out of the rain, relax for a while and enjoy a delicious lunch
2. Successfully resolving a tech issue
3. A beautiful calla lily plant for the garden as a thank you gift from our thoughtful neighbors
That bread looks so delicious Peggy! I think it's bread anyway but might be cake! So admire you all in those kitchens doing your stuff! Those homeless must rely on your kitchen food, a vital service but it can't run without volunteers!
@happypat Thanks, as always, for your comments, Pat. You are so good about taking/making the time to connect with people. I need to re-make that a priority going forward. There's so much more to 365 than a quick photo upload.
That is indeed bread. We made delicious garlic toast to go with the Chili Mac entree. Seems to be a favorite with our diners. Especially good on a cold, rainy day.
What a blessing these volunteer workers are to those in need! The bread, alone, looks delicious, so I can only imagine the tasty meal they built around it!
