Based on US Census Bureau stats, each day for the next ten years,10,000 people in the US will turn 65. Today I am one of them. The Medicare Benefits packet I recently received is a harsh fact check to my soul's assertion that I'm only 48.
Keith Richards, surprisingly, kind of nails aging when he said, "The older you get, the older you want to get". And I'm going to roll with that.
Three Good Things:
1. The pressure is off at 65. Life no longer feels like a competition.
2. I'm comfortable with who I am, as I am.
3. After talking with an insurance advisor regarding Medicare supplemental coverage, we're going to save a bucket load on medical insurance. Happy birthday to me. ☺

Happy birthday Peggy!! Hope you’re having a fabulous day! You’ve got me wondering what we get for turning 65 now that retirement age has moved to 66 and will be 67 for me. The answer is not a lot though Londoners get free travel at 60 and I can get a free eye test at 60 AND discount cinema tickets with a free tea and a biscuit! Our amazing NHS is, of course, free for all but the post (hopefully) Covid service is swamped. Anyway I think you’re getting younger!

Since I turned 65 10 years ago, I've never felt more comfortable in my own skin! You've always worn yours well, so wishing you more of the same! Daily gratitude is certainly good for the soul!
