The Summer Triangle

When I was a child I would love it when my grandmother would point out constellations, asterisms and celestial phenomenon in the night sky at the beach. I still love a dark night sky. This is the Summer Triangle (in the eastern sky mid to late June). It’s formed by the stars Vega, Deneb, and Altair - the brightest stars in their separate constellations.
Three Good Things:
1. Star gazing is awesome in the mountains (much better and brighter than a phone pic conveys)
2. Saw a shooting star
3. A 2:30 tee time…I’m the designated cart driver
Never looked for this. Now I have a new quest!

@bkp It’s one of the easier formations to find. Look for Vega or Altair first - they’re closer and really bright. This time of year the three stars will be relatively low in the eastern sky (between the horizon and straight overhead). Have fun! Hope in the process you see a shooting star for luck!
