We made chicken and andouille sausage gumbo for the first lunch of 2022 at the Soup Kitchen. It was a raw, windy, and wintery 'gumbo and rice' kind of day.
Three Good Things:
1. Spending the afternoon catching up with a dear friend
2. A healthy and beautiful great-niece made her arrival into the world today
3. Heading to bed early with a good book and the electric blanket cranked up
That’s what gumbo looks like…..I only know the word from the song Jambalaya. Looks good & warming on a cold winter day…..I like the sound of cranking up the electric blanket!
