Volutella Blight by pej76

Volutella Blight

The Pachysandra in our front yard is dying due to Volutella blight. We first noticed it last spring and tried to stop it with fungicide and pruning but our efforts were in vain it appears. There are big patches of dead growth now. I think what we will do is tear it all up and replace with mulch.
That is so sad when plants get something and one cannot help. You might just have to buy again.

@ludwigsdiana A big part of the problem is that our front yard has no more shade. We had two big trees taken out in recent years. Pachysandra does best in shady areas.
