Today was all about grass fire. First we saw ash falling down from the sky like some kind of black snow. Then we managed to put out one small grass fire starting to burn just next to the road. The we saw several much bigger fires we couldn't cope with by ourselves.
Usually people don't pay much attention to grass fires. Some even think that it's good for their ground (when, of course, it's not). Some start it accidentally, some for a reason (ex. "if we don't start it, it could be started our neighbors, which would be dangerous for us"). But at the end of the day no matter how it was started, it's a deadly threat to both nature and people. Unfortunately, not so many people here in Russia understand that.
In addition, this spring is very dry with no floods nor showers, so grass fires are especially dangerous.
