I'm trapped in a very special kind of informational vacuum. Internet connection is so poor that I can only upload a photo here or to my Instagram once in a while, but I can't see anything uploaded by others. So, I remind myself some kind of weird drone or satellite, that sends messages everyday not knowing if anyone out there is receiving them.
Of course, I'm adding some drama here) Sometimes connection is good enough to read a couple of comments. But still that's rare.
And that led me to an interesting thought, which is the following: usually I really glad to read your comments. It seems to be very important to know that someone else have same thoughts as you have or to see a reflection of your idea that you couldn't even think of. Even though I'm not a commenting or comment answering type of guy (maybe it's because of all this "Russians don't like small talks", or because of my own introversion – I don't know), it seems that I like to read them.
This also brings another very old idea that you usually understand a real value of something only when It's gone (I don't remember the exact saying in English, in Russian we say: we don't care about what we have, we cry when it's lost).
And that comes to a conclusion that I must have too much free time to think about all this)) Which is actually true. I'm still waiting for the rest of the group and bit by bit exploring the neighborhood, which today led me to the canyon of Geysernaya river that you can see on the photo.
And I'm absolutely not sure what's going to happen tomorrow. Not even sure if I'm going to have a connection to tell you. Not sure if you're going to read this. Not sure if I can read your comments.
You cast your bread upon the waters and wait to see if it will be returned to you.
We are perhaps spoiled by being part of the generation of almost instant feed back, that was never available in previous historical periods. I still haven't decided if t has improved our lives or ruined them.
