What I don't like the most about drone pictures (I was going to say 'hate', but I don't like this word plus I don't really hate anything about drone pictures) is that they they look fantastic when you're taking them, but when you look at them on your laptop few hours later it turns out they are just bunch of crap. Sometimes it's a huge disappointment, just like today.
Finally, there was no storming wind in the mountains, so I was able to take off my little drone and what I saw on the screen was just amazing. Cliffs and me were so sharp and three dimensional we were almost falling out of the screen.
But then I came down and saw a pack of absolutely flat pictures (what you see is edited, original is as flat as a pancake). I noticed it many times and I still don't know what to do about this. I don't expect my lowly drone (it's basically just a smartphone camera with propellers) to take high-end pictures, I just don't want to expect of them more them they are.
Meanwhile, we reach the turning point of our trip. A couple of days in Ekaterinburg city and them we're heading back to Saint Petersburg. Still not sure what's coming on next. There's a very thin possibility of an amazing adventure in the nearest future (really, really thin), an option to spend the whole winter in the northern Ural far away from any civilization (all alone and it seems even without Internet) and several extremely boring opportunities (just as flat and disappointing as my drone pictures) ahead. And there's probably something else I didn't even think about. And I guess there absolutely no point to guess. We'll just see.
