The most interesting services on the M6, and a signifier of 'nearly home' if Northbound, or 'exciting times' as a kid if Southbound as there wasn't much north of our junction that interested me at the time, but south? South had cities, and theme parks, and holidays, and airports, and ... the world!
Pretty sure the upper level is out of bounds to the public now (and for many, many years), but I didn't think to check. It used to be the restaurant level.
I just love the fact they built something cool, rather than something cheap and dull. Always makes me smile, whichever direction I'm driving.
