A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
That is clever.......the mind is working overtime how you did that without getting wet. Lovely red flower ever so slightly out of focus in the clarity of the stream. Are you experimenting with "Jinx Cam"?
@doblaine Just a smallish puddle - one shot because the red flower caught my eye - when I saw the shot on screen, I cropped it totally in half and got rid of the houses, trees, green grass and a parked car which somebody had had the audacity to park in their drive in my field of vision.
@quietpurplehaze Now you spoiled the vision I had of wet suits and icy swims. An effective process that is paying dividends - I love the shot. Well done.
@doblaine Thank you. Well I liked it once it was cropped. Swims are definitely warm!! And I can't think of many items of clothing more unappealing than a wet suit..........
Amazing find Hazel - thought you might have dropped the flower in to the puddle - but no, purist that you are its all original!! Well done! I try to do the same because I am not a great fan of lots of processing - however I have to admit I did indulge a bit on my shot for today! I really prefer SOOC as they say!
@purdey@gerry Thank you for appreciaton and FAVs. I think this is one of the few times that I've taken just one single photo of a subject and used it.
I suppose it could have been to do with not wanting to stay in a crouching position close to a puddle whilst having a dog on the lead in the other hand!
@tishpics I was quite amazed to see that red flower! It pays always, doesn't it, to check the word for the day a day head! Think it was from somebody's front garden but didn't stop to find out what it was.
@gnilrets Thanks very much indeed for your comments and enthusiasm! 365 is great for unleashing one's creativity and also great for 2-way 'photographic traffic' of comments between follower and followee. I had my eyes open today in town and saw, would you believe, walking round the market, a chap with a green parrot on his shoulder and his lady with a white cockatoo on hers. Where was my camera? I was sick as a parrot!!!!!!!!!!!
@debihas27@gphelps5@gerry@purdey Thank you all very much for comments and FAVs. No big deal, but I think something is sometimes amiss with the stats on here as there are 4 of you who have given a FAV to this shot and the panel on the right only shows 3?!
@gphelps5 Well Bulldog thank you - I really did think it was a problem with the system. (Now if everybody gives me another FAV I'll be doing very well - hummmm!)
Nice capture Hazel, I haven't been on line much lately so doing a bit of catching up today. You'll have to let me know where to find the monthly lists, I've looked but must be having a senior type moment, can't find them.
