...in Suffolk. I realised that I had been taking all the pics during our stay and had nothing to show that I had been there as well. Soon remedied as I found a strategically-placed mirror in our friends' living room.
It always makes me smile to take a selfie like this as I never heard of this term or thought of taking one before 365 (can't do the set-up-camera-and-sit-in-front-of-it one).
Busy day today: washing in the machine, Jinks to take for a walk, pile of ironing, visit to friends to collect apples from their tree, a swim, dinner to cook (including blackberry and apple crumble) and finally a music concert this evening at the university.
There are no prizes for identifying which item on my list will probably still be
to-do tomorrow.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Oh yes, of course, Hazel, thanks (does taking selfies addle one's brain I wonder..) But we wouldn't ever go out wrinkled as Ray likes doing ironing - but I do get guilt feelings about him doing it.! (Small ones). @darylo
Super smiley selfie !! and a nice pose behind those beautiful dahlias !! Good luck Hazel in your busy day !! Hope you will not be too exhausted to enjoy your concert tonight --I know I would be !! ( very little energy & could sleep at any time at a drop of a hat !! )
Beautiful ! I had never heard of selfies either. So I'm getting more used to them. Like you, I like to prove I was there. I like to iron if I have a headache. It calms me.
Might it be the ironing Hazel!!!!! Silly question!! love this happy photo of you on holiday, beautifully composed & the pretty flowers an extra bonus although you didn't need any props!!
Great to get all your comments. I'm ashamed to say that while I'm having a quick catch-up (6 p.m.) on 365 (dinner is in the oven) because we'll be home late from the concert, Ray is doing the ironing. ( He says it's satisfying and part of his tidy mind.)
I'm not leaving! I came across a phrase recently: "I am responsible for what I say, not what you understand" - I don't entirely agree with it and Ray does sometimes tell me that I 'go off on one' and assume that other people know what I'm referring to (butterfly brain or some such!) Just the last holiday-in-Suffolk shot/word. Sorry!
@quietpurplehaze Not just me then- Nigel has told me three times today that I've started halfway through conversations that I've been having in my head. Actually I do do that occasionally but I think he's just got too much work on and isn't paying attention properly!
Great selfie Hazel , you looks wonderful. is this you new camera ?
I did like to have a change with you spending to day .
I get up at 07.00 hours Have a 2 1/2 hours drive, than meetings and workshops, the whole day .Finnish at 17.00 hours and a back takes a 3 hours drive ( traffic jam ). At least it was dry weather.
It's one of them! Panasonic Lumix TZ25, the other is a bridge camera, Panasonic Lumix FZ62. I'm starting a photographic course today. Yes, my day was very easy compatred to yours. What were the meetings etc? To do with your voluntary teaching? You are very busy in retirement.
This is all too funny! I'm very late to this conversation, and behind on my own posts, because we've been away as well. But I love your selfie, and I would vote for leaving the ironing. Three cheers for Ray!
Yes, he does deserve three cheers as he does lots of domestic things to help out. We did the ironing between us in the end but I think I did most so I wasn't feeling too guilty!

Daryl, you are so kind (Sometimes I'm horrible!!!) What does 'going out wrinkled' mean, please?!
Perhaps @darylo is referring to the ironing not being the priority of your day. Great selfie

@darylo
Lovely selfie with floral frame. Had me worried by the title for a minute!
My guess is the ironing

Thank you for the fav. dear Hazel. It makes my day great at last.
Gerry thanks and for the fav. We are all fine. Hope you and Anne and her mum will have a great time in Scotland.
