Some neighbours have, unusually, made their front garden into a vegetable plot as well as the conventional flower garden. So the morning glory in my photo sits alongside the late flowers on a tomato plant. Currently, they also have bright scarlet flowers on the runner beans, pale pink roses and rusty-coloured rudbeckia.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
That's lovely shot Hazel, the subtle colours emerging from the centre of the flower and the drops of water leading the eye.. Would your camera lens let you get in closer on the flower, to make it the sole subject of an image?
Very pretty. The rain drops are a nice effect. I have seen gardens too with combined veggies and flowers - usually though it is things like marigolds, which the deer don't like (helps keep the deer from eating the veggies.)
I think that's a similar idea to planting a rosebush at the end of a row of vines.
Thank you - I love your comments which are always so enthusiastic and keep me going if ever I lose a bit of impetus on 365!
the drops are a lovely bonus,
