The mahonia bush sits beyond the stream in our back garden and underneath the alder tree. I spent ages unsuccessfully photographing the flowers and at last had the idea of trying this different angle.
Ray has all the credit for our beautiful garden which he designed and which he maintains. He's been gardening since the age of 10 years when he took over his parents' garden.

Oh that's a shame, Pat, but they do sometimes look dead when they are not!
