A beautiful bright-sun, blue-sky, day here and we went for a walk in the grounds of Mottisfont Abbey. A good part of the car park was flooded and the river as full and as murky as I've ever seen it. I liked the colours of the duck and his surroundings.
And I shall not mention what Neil is cooking for we three for dinner tonight.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Lovely rich greens and golds. I would love to see the abby and grounds! For the fun of it, I'm checking on Google Earth as I look at photos this morning. I will have to put this spot on my "must see" list!
Well I won't get that much for it - so maybe I should keep it for the zoom which is better than my other cameras. (When I first started 365 I could never have envisaged having more than one camera, or even more than a p&s.)
Thank you both for comments and congrats and favs. This shot, I think, has saved my bridge camera from the ignominy (had to interrupt the chaps here watching football to get the spelling of that word!) of being advertised on ebay.
Hazel that is a great photo. I like how the duck has its head tucked under its wing, and the background is so lovely. I am inspired to go out walking now and take some nature photos.
I have to say that the camera saw far more in this shot than the naked eye, in particular the reflections! Thanks for your comment and happy to inspire you a little bit.

There is also the bonus throughout the year of different art exhibitions in the abbey. The walled garden is fabulous in the season of roses.
Hampshire scenery is in my blood!
Ivan thanks. Taken with the long zoom on my FZ62 which I WAS going to sell.................Ummmmm.

Oh wow, still on PP - thank you for the fav, Linda!
