Just imagine you are somewhere in rural France on a hot summer's day, sitting in the shade by the river to keep cool, feeling a little sleepy, thinking perhaps about a small siesta.
Since I took this shot a couple or so years ago, I've learnt a little bit more about processing. So I've processed it a little bit and am posting it for Throwback Thursday today.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Really beautiful. Just great balance on this photo. I think what really makes this a good photo is the sky between the trees. Most photos like this seem to blow out the sky white/overexposed, while they expose for the water. The water will always be darker. So, in this process I think you chose the correct exposure.
Oh yes, Hilary - it's been grey all day long here.
Debbie, thank you for your enthusiasm! I liked it when I was there!
I'm quite partial to water and reflections - photographically, that is. Thanks for your comment.
Be nice if we were sitting there together right now, Karin - dreaming on!
