Today I had the good fortune to meet up with Julie @julieco and her husband, Roger.
They are visiting their daughter and family not far from where we live. Unfortunately, Ray doesn't get home from Scotland until tonight but, hopefully, in the future we can all meet up for lunch with a glass of something (more interesting for the non-365ers amongst us!).
Thanks to Julie, we discovered Wolvesey Castle, another residence of the Bishops of Winchester built by Henry de Blois in the 12th century, now Grade 1 listed ruins managed by English Heritage: I noticed the gate was signed 'private'; Julie noticed the gate was open - I learnt something!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
365 meet ups are always fun if a little nerve wracking at first, Gives another point of interest when posting. A lovely memento photo. Camera round neck like us all!
How great to meet up with another 365er, I bet you had plenty to talk about, Hope Roger wasn't bored. Lovely capture and I've also made some good friends from 365.
Which obsession is that, Julie?!!!!! Yes, it was great! (I'm proud of myself as I used my newly found cloning skills to get rid of the other people around the memorial!)
A lovely relaxed couple I like the way they are in front of some type of monument keeping the focus on the couple rather than the lovely surround. Glad you all had a lovely day & meeting.

I wish happiness to all!
Karern, thabnk you. This is the base of a war memorial. I used my newly found 'cloning' skills to obliterate the people sitting around the base!
Claire, I've lived here for 40 years (omg) and not once visited Wolvesey Castle. In future, if a gate is open, I go in!
