.... and I STILL have to do his holiday washing!!! (He was in Camber Sands, not in America.)
I went to bed early last night and unable to find a poetry book I liked in the bookshelf, I picked up one about Cairn terriers, acquired when Jinks first came to live here.
This 'amused' me:
"Cairns are well known for getting their own way, and many new owners are surprised at how quickly they work things out for themselves, sometimes ahead of their owners."
You can say that again! (He's improved my thinking skills!)
I could tell lots of tales about Jinks but I'll just say that when our friends, Ellie and David, with Hattie, their labradoodle, had left for the journey home to Suffolk on Saturday, we decided on a last walk to the beach.
On our return, Jinks was desperate to get into the courtyard garden in the holiday house, scratching at the patio doors. After I told him 'No' and closed the shutters he ran upstairs and started scratching at the door of the bedroom where our friends and Hattie had slept for the week. So then we knew what was on his mind.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Avery familiar scene Hazel , except all Alfie's toys whether a day old or a year old are in a very bedraggled state -- being hunted , shook and killed !
Great narrative and lovely pic Hazel. On the odd occasion my parents come to our house without their dog our dog spends ten minutes searching the house and garden for him. They are funny aren't they?
A terrific shot of Jink's washing and of course adorable Jinks in the corner. I am sure he will have many happy memories of his holiday with Hattie until he sees her again.
Lovely tale, And I completely agree with you . ( and with the description of the dog talents) Funny pic and insert . Well done. Fav.
Thank you dear Hazel for you great support on my pic.`s .
Definitely are funny - the main problem is probably that we humans don't give dogs enough credit?!!
Thank you dear Hazel for you great support on my pic.`s .
Ferry, it's well deserved support. Thanks, in return, for all your enthusiasm for my posts.
p.s. I got the idea of inserts from you - and now I've mastered the technique!
