I'm sure you don't remember that when Ray had a few days in Scotland last month I decided to surprise him on his return by buying bedding plants from the nursery and making a hanging basket. In the end I made 3 pots full from them and instead bought this hanging basket ready planted from the nursery.
What a good job they made of it!
I got the sun lounger out today for the first time this summer and suddenly the garden was full of wildlife: something small and black fell into my first cup of tea; a greenfly dived into the second; and then a dear little robin flew on to the post at the end of the trellis and sat there for at least the duration of half a dozen good shots - but the camera was indoors.....
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
A beautiful basket of gorgeous coloured and healthy plants - I am sure Ray will tender it well !! While you were sun lounging this afternoon I was battling to give Alfie a trim with Gary holding him for me !
Well done, Beryl! I'm determined, since I spent out to have Jinks trimmed at the dog groomer's, to keep his coat short. I don't want to have to take him any more : they couldn't trim his feet and asked me to help them when I went to collect him!!
What a beautiful hanging basket, such wonderful colours. Unfortunately, we can't have them here, they dry out too quick with the strength of the sun.
Pity about the robin, moral of the story is always have your camera attached at all times. ha ha.
Motto number 1 never leave the camera indoors!

I hardly ever do - can you believe it??!!! Never, ever, have I seen a robin sit still for so long........

Andrea, thanks for your comment. I thought this looked a good basket when I bought it, but it has exceeded all my expectations!
