Beryl, thanks for fav and comments! After we'd decided what to do I happened to meet a man out with his choc lab this morning and he told me his dog is confined in exactly the same way at his home. We think Jinks must have got into the stream which is a puzzle as he hates water and has never done it before. What a fright it all was!
