Last year Ray planted 3 pulsatilla plants in a terracotta trough which stands on our patio.
They have a rather strange flowering cycle: the mauve flower and bud (centre) appeared on one plant in September last year; the red flower (left) appeared in November last year; the white flower is the one posted yesterday and in bloom now.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Lovely blooms -as they are in a trough together --why can't they do the decent thing and bloom together ! I think I would separate them (like naughty children !!) and plant in separate pots !!!
Could put them in separate corners of the garden! Or make them stand on the naughty step?!!
Well it doesn't mind the cold too much as it's growing here in England!
