This tributary of the River Test is in the grounds of Mottisfont Abbey. The flimsy willow ''fence' in the foreground is surely just a marker, certainly would not stop you falling in. But the water is not deep, just freezing cold! (I think perhaps my settings were not quite right to 'freeze' the water - constructive criticism welcomed.)
How like buses are PP shots: you wait ages for one and then....... in a few days my sunset has joined the daffodil on PP - always a little boost, so thank you all!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Phil, thank you - very helpful. I'd understood fast/slow SS but think I'd got confused as to which gave which effect! I'm not keen on milky water either and I don't have or want a tripod or ND filter so I think I'll leave my water in peace - thanks again!
Great view and capture of the water running stream and the nice wooden bridge.
Thanks dear Hazel for you visits, the nice comments and the fav.`s . I`m very pleased with/by each and all of them
You need faster shutter speeds to freeze the water (you are on 1/30 th here) and slower ones to get the milky effect (tripod and ND filter essential). I don't have any ND filters so never attemp milky waters, but i do think milky is a bit cliché, old hat now
Yes, a lovely peaceful place and great photo opps!
