Just had to be daffodils for 1st March! (Perhaps slightly more photogenic than leeks?!)
Thanks to Wordsworth for the lines from his poem "I wandered lonely as a cloud" which was apparently inspired by an event on 15 April 1802, in which Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy came across a "long belt" of daffodils. (Wikipedia)

Beautiful. It is the first day of autumn here in Oz and the temperature is still 30 degrees c. Going to be hot and humid for the rest of the week too apparently.
Thank you - yes, spring on the calendar but the weather has not yet caught up!
