Today is my Auntie Betty's 91st birthday. (She was just 90 when I took this shot.)
Betty is my father's younger sister and my only surviving member of that generation of the family.
I've made posts about Betty on 365 before: a studio photo of her aged 4 years old; photos from her time during WW2 when she helped make roads on an American base and worked on farms as a member of the Women's Land Army.
When Betty was a child, her family moved closer to school so she did not have to walk too far as it was discovered that she had a heart problem.
As well as saying 'Happy Birthday' on 365 to Betty, I'm sending all good wishes for a return to better health as she has been unwell for the past few weeks and unable to be out and about for her usual walks and her swims in the local pool.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Lovely shot, I can see the family resemblance. Auntie Betty looks fabulous for her age. Please wish her a very Happy Birthday from me and everyone on 365.
Happy Birthday Aunt Betty! these beautiful red tulips will heal you quickly
