Ah yes....Globe Thistle (Echinops) Eryngium are smaller and sort of oval shaped with quite a few flowers on a stem. :-)

I used the short zoom lens. Photo top right zoomed to 50mm, the other two shots to 39mm. I've been practising zooming this lens for close-up shots and like the results. Good luck!
