A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
A great selection of shots Hazel. Always loved these globe thistles and they remind me of Mum and our garden at home. Also congrats on your robin photo in new TT!!
I used the short zoom lens. Photo top right zoomed to 50mm, the other two shots to 39mm. I've been practising zooming this lens for close-up shots and like the results. Good luck!
Très drole - to me a bee is a bee is a bee, David!! Yes, naming of parts! (I should apologize for the lack of circumflex on 'drole' but my laptop does a hissy if I try to type one and deletes all I have just written.)

Thank you - I'm as chuffed as a robin - or something like that!!
I thought it was eryngium but now I find out it's a globe thistle!!!
Just trying to show off that I can spell eryngium (courtesy Google)!!!
Today I was photographing my thistles with bees all over it!

I'd highly recommend this camera - in fact so much so that I feel I am getting boring!!!
