Yesterday Ray and I decided to have a walk along the river. We were driving around the streets of Woodbridge looking, without success, for somewhere to park the car when I suddenly said, "It's Arthur! Stop the car! Stop the car!''
So Ray obligingly stopped the car and I got out and asked, 'Are you Arthur?' (I was sure there could never be two Arthurs but best to make certain sure!)
And it was indeed Arthur out taking a gentle stroll. I introduced myself. It was great to see him: a hello and a hug and next my camera, of course, was not far away.
365 never fails to amaze me but this is the first time for me to meet a fellow 365er by pure chance in the street.
It was so good to see you out Arthur and I feel sure you will forgive me a, "Curiouser and curiouser..." (And you most definitely still have your smile....)
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
How brilliant to meet up with this 365-favourite of mine! What a charming face and I already know what a lovely man he is! I've learned so much from him! So delighted your paths crossed and we have this beautiful portrait!
Chance is a fine thing, Hazel, and this was indeed something to smile about. I knew of course of your habit of approaching strange men (some stranger than others!) with your camera but must congratulate you on your magical ability to make this one look human!
@charmian .. Well, fancy meeting you here! It was a lovely coincidence seeing you both unexpectedly within one mile and a couple of hours of each other. Thank you for making my day; I feel twice blest!
@wordpixman it was so good to see you again and hope it wont be quite so long before we can meet and have a coffee somewhere! If we had all known we could all have had a coffee!!
Well isn't that just wonderful Hazel, such sharp eyes you have, as Arthur says you must be scanning every man you see for a photo op!! Ha ha! I would have been as thrilled as you & I must say this is a fabulous shot of @wordpixman & you look so handsome with that fabulous beard. Lovely weather for out & about with the camera!
@quietpurplehaze@wordpixman I'll second that Hazel - a wonderful face which is why I asked if I could take a photo when I was first able to approach him down at the river ! One of natures true gentlemen x
Well I never, what a fabulous surprise for you both. A lovely picture of Arthur too. @wordpixman Just goes to show Arthur, you can run but you can't hide, well not from Hazel with her camera anyway.
I think I would have spotted Arthur too Hazel, you know what I am like for photographing blokes with beards.
What a really lovely portrait and so nice to bump into a fellow 365er when you are not expecting it. I would love to meet Arthur because I have always enjoyed his narrative as much as his photos. Fav for this great shot
That is so cool! I don't know if I'd recognize any fellow Pennsylvanian 365ers- but it sure would be fun to bump into someone that way. Most of my meet-ups are planned. Great shot of Arthur (who looks as dapper as he writes!).

Wow, this is a really happy coincidence to see Arthur @wordpixman. What a lucky day for you both. Thanks for sharing.
Great portrait shot too
Arthur, that's the best laugh I'm going to have this side of bedtime!!!!!!
p.s.
This is a serious comment: you have the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen, Arthur.
I think I would have spotted Arthur too Hazel, you know what I am like for photographing blokes with beards.
Perhaps next time we are in our native Suffolk we might all manage a coffee as you suggested.
