I was not going to share this photo of my Tuesday-night-in-the-pub pud but then I realised that today, January 12th, is the day that my dad was born in 1919. He loved chocolate so it seems to be appropriate to 'raise a spoon' to him.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Lovely memory and a delicious desert. I am looking at this with one open and one eye closed at the moment though because we have just got home from a meal out with friends. We had such a delicious meal that I didn't have room for desert and even now can't really think too much about food.
Very tasty image full of calories and wonderful detail how could one refuse such a delight on your dads birthday or indeed any other day, great shot Hazel:)
Usually eaten as a cake/biscuit: regular shortbread in the bottom layer, the middle layer is a tin of fussells condensed milk boiled until it changes colour (might be some butter in it too, can't remember) and a layer of chocolate on top. I dare not think how many calories but rather delicious!!
