an absolute favourite shot of mine

I took this on holiday at La Flotte on the Ile de Ré several years ago. Just something about it appeals to me and it's framed in colour on a wall at home.

Having just learnt about puddle-shooting, I was trying it out with my little p&s. An added interest was the two local police officers who came by just at the point of the click of the shutter and seemed rather interested in what I was doing.

I think the lines have it. Or was it the colour...

Lovely perspective reflected light and detail Hazel, didn't know it rained on the east coast of France in the summer, lol:)

I can certainly see why you lik it Hazel. Have checked your colour shot out too & they both work so well but I love the colour one especially! Puddle-shooting is a favourite one of mine too but I never seem to remember to do it @bixplayer used to do some fab puddle shots but I haven't seen any from her lately.....no rain in London perhaps 😆

I like this I black and white, it really puts the emphasis on the puddle whereas the colour version draws you to the leaves on the ground and away from the reflection.

Excellent in B&W. I think I prefer the colour one though.

This is a FAV!

I think I marginally prefer the colour one but I love the way the black and white brings out the contrast and reflections. Must be lovely to look at on your wall.

Wow, no wonder you have had it framed and that it appeals to you. I bet it is more dramatic in b&w. A fantastic image, indeed. Fav.
