Flashofred with all its b&w does provide a different take on photography and makes me think. I've participated for the last 4 years.
I always get fidgety for some colour during the month and this time I've started posting colour in my 2nd album.
However, I'm now ready for the end of of b&w Feb so along the River Hamble with my camera yesterday I decided to try the in-camera s/c yellow, just for a bit of a change.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I like this one, the yellow really pops - I have never tried my camera's s/c button, must give it a go. Funnily enough the first few days of the Flash of Red I felt colour deprived, and now I'm tending more and more to b&w, how strange!
Wonderful subject for selective colouring the yellow really stand out and draws the eye into the image, lovely letterbox format to Hazel, I've tried the selective colour filter in my camera and this was the result posted 30-Nov-16 https://365project.org/pcoulson/365-3/2016-11-30
I was about to comment on that pic you flagged up and see I was going to
say the same as I did originally! Will have to try my camera out on blue sky - quite ambitious....
Nice pop of yellow. I am a big fan of black and white photography, but even I'm ready for some colour after looking at so many monochrome images this month.
A lovely pop of yellow, Hazel. I really like the SC function on my camera. I haven't tried blue or green, but it works really well with red and yellow :)
I agree, flashofred is fascinating but I missed the color each year, this year I did a second album with my color shots so it was my solution. Yours is interesting. I can’t remembe4 which year I finally mastered selective coloring, but
I went into that March and did selective coloring in rainbow order through that month.
I have learnt something new - yet again. I must look to see if mine will do it. I love the look of the splash of yellow - makes me think spring all over again.
Thank you and that's interesting. Too much b&w makes me feel a bit ground down! Now I hope to try the blue and green in camera s/c.

I guess your camera can do s/c. My Sony does the 4 primary colours. I used to have a Fuiji which also did purple and orange!
Yes they are facing the same way. All the boats are moored in tidy rows here!
