re-fuelling

I moved the bird feeders closer to the house for photographic purposes, but it has not really worked as the birds are aware of me and my camera sooner!

I did just manage to catch this robin
Lovely detail Hazel! Even his little clawed feet. We have quite thick snow and I keep topping up their food.

Oh how I would love to catch a shot like this Hazel, there is never a robin around when I have my camera in my hand - or vice versa!!

@countrylassie

Thank you. I think they are suffering in the snow as today they are definitely slow to fly off.

Lots of food for the birds here. I guess your birds aren't as tame as the ones here in our garden.

The birds will gradually get used to you moving the feeder closer. I take many pictures from our dining room window. I started placing a chair in front of the window with a coat over the back of the chair. I will either sit backwards on the chair and rest my camera on the back to steady it or place my tripod between the chair and as close as possible to the window, The coat helps to hide my shape from the birds. Again, they will adjust to everything when they are hungry.
Love your robin!
