Woolbeding: the Chinese bridge

Try as I might I cannot discover why a Chinese bridge is yellow.

If you cross the bridge, turn right and carry on for a bit you will reach the Gothic summerhouse with its waterfall - where several of my friends here on 365 would like to join me for a lazy time in this hot weather!

In China the imperial color was yellow and like royal purple in other countries. Only the elite could wear it without being put to death
