Commoners' ponies live wild in the New Forest. Despite 40mph speed limits and warning signs, a certain number are injured or killed every year as they have zero road sense.

I did a little research and found that in 2017 the majority of accidents involving livestock happened at night, 39 ponies were killed and 14
injured, also cattle, donkeys and pigs who live in the forest suffered in lesser numbers.
Gorgeous mama and foal! Love them! I hate to hear about them getting hit by vehicles. Maybe the speed limit needs to be lowered, especially after dark? Sad to hear this happens...
