On a trip out we came across helpers at a local church preparing for a wedding that day. I couldn't resist a few shots and then thought of a triptych.
Ray wondered about the meaning of 'lych', did some research and found that it is old English for 'corpse', the lych gate being where the minister and the mourners met together to begin the service.

Great shots looks like many hands make light work. I would be a little worried about the use of broom but the garland does look lovely over the lych gate .
What a fascinating piece of history too!
I am not keen when folk attach a whole 'spiel' to a photo but I really like learning these little snippets!
