for the love of selfies

Today, June 21st, is apparently National Selfie Day. I cannot remember what I found so amusing in this selfie except that I find the whole concept quite entertaining. I am hopeless at sad selfies.

Rembrandt (1606-1669) painted/drew/sketched around 80 self-portraits. Via Google I liked this one at the Rijksmuseum: 'Portrait with dishevelled hair'

He apparently 'accentuated the curls of his tousled hair by drawing in the wet paint with the butt end of his paintbrush'.
