Joanne, I gave a talk to fellow sixth fomers and was made to feel really stupid by the mistress who reprimanded me loudly in front of everyone when I used croci!! So I know without a doubt that it's crocuses! Why they featured in my talk I know not but I still remember how I felt!
@quietpurplehaze Well, after I made this post I looked it up on a few different sites and, according to all of them, either form is perfectly acceptable so it's that mistress who was wrong and a smart ass too. I'm reminded of a quote from Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
Joanne, yes and I did have that quote in mind when I answered you. I have read it in relation to the way we treat people with dementia i.e. if they say/get something wrong, we should not correct them because they will not necessarily understand or remember what we say or what we told them to do but they will remember how we made them feel. I'll put my 16 years-old feeling to rest now, thank you!
