Rock in Snow

One sunny day while walking I saw this colorful rock emerging through the snow.
I've been enjoying the black background in a number of photos posted by others and decided to post one in the reverse.

I often see this sort of thing and wonder about taking a picture! no longer. I particularly like the shadow of the snow uner rock to the lower right side.
