This is our beach, beneath 4 feet of snow is a nice sandy beach,unfortunately, at 33 below this morning I don't expect to see it for another couple months!
Beautiful winter shot! Very cold looking, but lovely shades of blue and silhouette of the tree. Too bad it isn't milder near the water - but I guess because it is a lake you don't get the milder climate like on the ocean. Even though we have lots of snow, the ocean beaches are totally clear here.
Wow what a lovely cold morning shot Kathy! It is just so funny to see this type of landscape when we are in drought here. It's hard to believe there is a beach under there!
@radiogirl Of Course. I fell for the old northern vs southern hemisphere trap. Because you are looking into the sun, your are facing south (not north as you would be here) so it must be one of the lakes.
I don't think I've ever seen snow on a beach. What an incredible sight and photo. Maybe snow castles are the order of the day, instead of sand castles. Hope some warmer weather is on the way.
