Lichen by radiogirl

Lichen

Inside this mass of lichen was trapped this one tiny pine cone. Will some little hungry squirrel ever come across it and free it from the lichen's grasp?

Thank you for comments and favs yesterday on Superior Light, its very much appreciated.
Wow! So interesting! I've never seen lichen like this!

I love the way you composed this. Filling the whole frame with the lichen made a super photo. Your detail is great and I love that little contrast of green in the background. Nice composition.

really nice. I love the very clear (as opposed to blurry) greenery in the upper right. . . and the balls of lichens continuing off into the distance.

@dianeburns it was a photographers paradise we had great weather, and the instructor was great and very relaxed, we had water everywhere beaches, rivers, lakes and waterfalls and the lodge was great.
I got to practice with my macro lens and my new flash which I never really understood before. I also met some interesting like-minded people .
