This weekend we are being invaded by over 6,000 motorcycles. However it is all for a good cause. This annual event has raised over $800,000.00 for cancer research and community cancer care. It's a fun event and continues to grow annually it culminates in whats called a Freedom Ride, basically, a parade of over 6,000 bikes. They stop at our local hospital bringing well wishes and flowers to the cancer ward. They camp out in an amazing array of tents and trailers at our local park along our shoreline for the weekend, it is quite the spectacle! This is my latest selfie as seen in one of these motorcycles.
Thank you for comments and favs on my photo yesterday "Where the River meets the Lake"
What a neat capture - loved reading your commentary about the event. Imagine your town has really been busy this weekend (and people have gotten a chance to see some awesome bikes!)
What a great idea, we have similar events happen over here for our Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal. Great triple selfie reflection, wonderful idea. fav
Super selfiesssss. Bikers do raise a lot of money for wonderful causes. There used to be or perhaps still is a large one in Minden. We know as they pass through our area.
