This could have been used to inspire the modern art painters of the 60's both color-field and optical artists.
The vibrant colors, the drips, and the vertical lines can be found in any modern art section of major galleries today.
Actually this is a rusted corrugated metal piece from one of our old headframes in my area, I could just picture this on a 4 ft x 6 ft canvas hanging in someones home/office. It caught my attention.
Thank you for you stopping by and commenting, I really appreciate your thoughts.
Oh Kathy, I want to click again and again on the fave! It's a beautiful piece of Nature's art! It inspires me to post an image I shot in Hawaii...something along these lines. When I showed it (to a stranger, working on the grounds), he looked at the back of the camera and asked where I'd photographed that *sunset*! Like you, I love the colours in the photo I shot, too, so your picture here inspires me to post mine...
Again when I reread your notion of the 4 x 5' canvas, "New York Loft" came to mind! Wow! I posted mine on a back date, but thought you'd enjoy my thoughts on the same theme http://365project.org/Weezilou/so-many-choices/2015-03-08
The brighter yellow areas look like goldleaf, the way they gleam! And yes, I can see this as artwork on a wall. Great find, Kathy! Fav'd for the rust, 'cause you know how I love rust. :)
I wish I could say my family is filled with accomplished musicians, but it's not. The boys all played instruments in school, as did I. The youngest could pick up about any instrument and play it and so we bought him a variety of horns and percussion instruments. Once the guys were done with school they were also done with the instruments which have remained here at home for the parents to keep track of.
