My good friend has been refreshing her crocheting skills and came upon an opportunity to help out a local church by providing these items. She has been crocheting like a fiend and is enjoying it so much. She's made a hoop and a group of them items for the church's annual Christmas bazaar and is now throwing a net to see what other projects she might crochet. Wash cloths and scrunchies have come to mind.
I took two days of vacay from photography. I didn't get on the computer much at all, spent time catching up on some chores and getting together with friends. It was rather refreshing. So I will not comment on any photos posted before this photo. But I'll be back after today.
@shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. I think the nicest thing about taking a break is not having to be on the computer so long. @grammyn Thank you so much katie for saying so. It was actually my jar of pickles. She croches the edging on the little rubbery squares of shelf liner. They are grippy so it makes it a little easier to open a brand new jar. @Dawn Thank you Dawn. @kjarn I agree Kathy. @haskar Thank you Hannah. Haha! Sometimes there's no strong man or woman around when you need one. @corinnec Thanks Corinne. For some reason I felt the need for a break.
I love the idea of the lid opener. Although I have been posting on 365 taking time away from commenting has been quite therapeutic in terms of freeing up time to do other things.
For your get pushed how about finding a feature on your camera that you are not sure about. The choice is yours.
@grammyn I never heard of them before she said she wanted to make some. Apparently my friend had seen ads or tv commercials for something similar in her youth. She had a name for them, but wouldn't tell me in fear she would violate a copyright law. @rensala Thanks Renee. Apparently I needed it. I now have one of my very own. @wakelys Thanks Sue. It is nice to do some other things, even if it's nothing. The challenge. That shouldn't be too hard, since I tend to use my camera the same way over and over.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you. My friend wanted photos of her work before she gave them all away so I said "why not. I need a photo for the day." She's always eager to help me with my daily photos when she can. I used my jar opener for the first time this evening. It worked well.
Great setup for the shot! Your friend should be well pleased with the picture. It looks like a very useful item. The best jar opener I have is an old mechanical device.
@mcsiegle Thank you mary. I sent all the photos of them to her. She was pleased. I have some "rubbery" circles that have been helpful and these openers work the same way. I have another style which reminds me of a wrench that also is useful.
