This small Vervet Monkey was sitting a few feet from the path as we headed toward Victoria Falls in Zambia. I was fascinated because the monkey looked so human, gazing intently upward. Was he expecting a sign from above, checking the weather or just contemplating his next move?
Looking for manna from heaven?!! Great capture! So sweet.....but, I have learned to watch out for monkeys as they tend to swoop down and grab shiny things like your glasses!
@panthora We witnessed the funniest incident later this same day. We were at the border crossing between Zambia and Zimbabwe, waiting in our jeep when a monkey jumped from the roof of a building and grabbed a grocery bag out of a bicycle basket and ran back up on the roof. Ten minutes later, the bike owner came back and stood looking for the missing groceries,! We were cracking up!
