The Washington Monument

I returned Wednesday from Washington DC, having spent a hectic week in meetings there. Had only one day to visit the monuments to take photos Luckily, that was a gorgeous weather day- but sadly for me- it was a mere six days before the peak of the cherry tree bloom. Oh well, they say timing is everything. See today's photo by Scott@sbolden for a spectacular pano of the Tidal Basin in full bloom.
In my haste to catch my flight last week, I left my iPad and adapters on the nightstand at home so I had no way to upload photos. It was frustrating to go missing from 365 for a whole week. Now I have so much to do to make up for lost time and hope to fill in all the blanks as soon as I can.
A wonderful iconic image. The weather looked beautiful and it's a lovely scene.

You would have taken a photo each day so its just a matter of placing them in the right slot! Great monument seen from over here!

This vantage point is gorgeous and a nice change from "the typical"! What a lovely trip that must have been this time of year. Never mind the lack of cherry blossoms...get out your pink magic marker!
