The "Spanish Steps" of Santa Barbara

Vibrantly colored, hand-painted ceramic tiles adorn the steps and buildings of old town Santa Barbara. The white stucco facades and red-tile roofs reflect the strong Mediterranean influence on art and architecture throughout the city.
Wonderful pic!

Oh gosh -- so interesting to see this! I'm flying in on October 10th before meeting friends and joining them on their boat to sail in the Channel Islands. I don't know how long I'll be in SB -- probably only on arrival day, but it looks like a beautiful town!

@taffy Your sailing trip sounds like fun. Santa Barbara is a great town for seafood on the wharf, meandering downtown and McConnell’s ice cream-yum! Hopefully you’ll be there long enough for a taste.
