No trip through the Southwestern U.S. is complete without a visit to the Grand Canyon. Considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the world, it shares the limelight with the Great Barrier Reef and Victoria Falls. A photo cannot replicate the mind-boggling expanse and the ever- changing color palette, shadows and light. I've been lucky to see it several times but hadn't been here in about 15 years. It is truly one of the most unique and marvelous views on the planet. I took this shot from the South Rim. I will post more photos in the next few days now that I have more reliable access to the Internet.
That's fantastic! We (with @taffy and @jgpittenger) had a wonderful trip there three years ago and loved photographing together there. I like how you have the foregrounded showing your vantage point and the depth of the scene evident.
