Amphitheatre, Arles


Built in 90 AD, the magnificent Roman amphitheatre in the city of Arles held over 20,000 spectators of chariot races and hand-to-hand battles. In the heat of the day we could almost sense the Romans! Today, it draws smaller crowds for bullfighting during the Feria d'Arles as well as plays and concerts in summer.
Fun capture of hubby! Love the view and the bit of history!
